Adaptogens for Prostate Health

Adaptogens for Prostate Health

The Natural Solution for Prostate Problems:

Look.
It isn’t the prettiest subject, but it’s important, and it shouldn’t be ignored.
If you’re a man over 50, that’s right —we’re here to tell you about how adaptogens can help improve prostate health.

Say hello to adaptogens, the natural remedy for BPH and enlarged prostate symptoms

Adaptogens” is just a fancy (and really cool) word for adaptogenic herbs.
Yes, HERBS.
Well, not JUST herbs.
More like a special class of super herbs that have been relied on in Russia for centuries and have recently infiltrated Western medicine.
Adaptogens started gaining attention in the early ’90s when Patricia L. Gerbarg, M.D., the Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the New York Medical College, contracted Lyme disease. She lived with the disease undiagnosed for 5 years, and after 9 months of antibiotics, still wasn’t showing much improvement.
Then she discovered adaptogens. And she hasn’t stopped singing their praises since.
Adaptogens are herbs that are SPECIFICALLY geared towards helping your body adapt and healthily respond to stressors.
Stressors can be described as many things, and can affect you on every level:
  • Physical stress – always needing to urinate and having to hold it, or strain to go
  • Mental/emotional stress – entering a new situation and not having any idea where the bathroom is or when the next bathroom break might be
  • Chemical stress – the pollutants you put into your body that aren’t good for it, everything from overly processed (but oh so good) cheese to smoking tobacco
By helping your body copy with the stress it comes under in every aspect, adaptogens help your body help itself.
Basically:
Adaptogens can be a whole-body, from-nature solution to your prostate problems.

Banishing prostate problems with adaptogens is often as easy as 1-2-3…

More than HALF of men run into prostate problems when they hit 50. And the likelihood of these issues increases as you age.
If you’re reading this, you probably want to know more.
Like:
When is it just an inconvenient issue, and when is it a serious issue? What can I do to prevent and relieve annoying prostate problems?
We know, and we’re here to help!
And no, we don’t mean to fill you up with prescription medications that have a laundry list of FDA warnings and side effects.
There ARE natural remedies available that won’t disrupt the health and harmony of the rest of your body.
You’ll want to keep reading if you’re suffering from any of these symptoms:
  • Constantly feeling like you “need to go”
  • Trouble sleeping and waking up in the night to urinate
  • Trouble starting to urinate or a weak stream while going
  • Never quite feeling fully relieved or empty after urinating
  • Straining to go, or having to stop and start several times while going
  • Sudden urges to go but little urine being eliminated
These are all signs of prostate problems that go hand in hand with aging.
No, it isn’t just you.
Like we said:
Most men experience these issues.
Why?
Well, let’s start at the beginning…

What is the prostate, and why does it cause so many problems as I get older?

The prostate is part of the male reproductive system.
If you can’t find it on an anatomy diagram, we don’t blame you.
Approximately the size of a walnut, the prostate is a small gland located below the bladder and in front of the rectum in men.
The location of your prostate is especially significant because:
The male urethra (which is the tube that connects the bladder to the penis) runs through the center of the prostate and carries urine to be eliminated.
Suffice it to say — this is why the prostate plays such a big role in making you feel like you have an overactive bladder.
As your prostate becomes more enlarged (something that happens naturally with age), it puts more and more strain on the urethra and bladder.
Thus:
You will more frequently feel like you “need to go” and have issues when you do.

In clinical terms, an enlarged prostate is known as benign prostatic hyperplasia or hypertrophy, or BPH.

BPH is, simply, an enlarged prostate gland. And almost all men are affected in their lifetime.
By age 40, only 8% of men have BPH. But by 85, more than 90% of men have BPH.
A majority of men first experience the symptoms of BPH after 50.
It is a natural part of the aging process.
BPH symptoms, however, are another story.
Frequently feeling the urge to urinate, having trouble sleeping because you wake up several times a night to go, even possible incontinence — that’s no way to live!
There ARE natural remedies for BPH symptoms, and those remedies don’t come with a long line of FDA warnings and side effects. (Something you may have noticed is rather common in BPH medications.)
But first:
Let’s delve further in to what could be going on with your body if you’re experiencing BPH symptoms.

Thinking outside of the BPH box – what are the symptoms of prostatitis and prostate cancer?

Prostate cancer is scary.
Even more alarming — there are no common underlying symptoms of prostate cancer.
It is, for the most part, a silent disease. Additionally: almost all prostate cancer symptoms could be attributed to or diagnosed as something else.
As a result, prostate cancer frequently goes untreated and unnoticed until it has already spread.
If you’re over the age of 40 and considering prostate cancer screening, it’s important to discuss this with your physician.
The medical community differs in its opinion on whether screening and early detection are beneficial or not. Given that most prostate cancers grow very slowly, the side effects of early-stage treatment are likely to outweigh whatever damage the cancer may cause in its early stages.
Therefore it’s recommended that this decision be made on an individual basis, between you and your doctor.
If you’re experiencing BPH symptoms AND additional symptoms, you may actually have prostatitis.
Prostatitis is an infection of the prostate gland, but in some cases may be inflammation of the prostate or a prostatic bacterial infection.
The symptoms of prostatitis largely mirror those of BPH (frequently needing to go, trouble emptying the bladder, weak urine stream, etc.) and also include:
  • Pain or burning during urination
  • Chills and fever
  • Hip, pelvic and/or genital pain
  • Pain during ejaculation
Prostatitis should be diagnosed by a physician, who will likely prescribe a round of antibiotics and/or anti-inflammatory medications that could last up to 12 weeks.
Doesn’t sound very fun, does it?
Thankfully, there are steps you can take to prevent prostatitis…
You’re at a greater risk of your prostate getting infected if you:
  • Have had a recent bladder infection
  • Have had a catheter inserted recently
  • Engage in rectal intercourse
  • Have an irregular urinary tract
  • Have an enlarged prostate/BPH
If your ears perked up at the last one, we don’t blame you.
This is why addressing your BPH head-on should be a PRIORITY for all men over 50:
Not only can you get BPH relief and ease its bothersome symptoms, you can also avoid the pain and long road to recovery associated with prostatitis!

Now that you’re ready to get a grip on BPH, what are your options?

If you’ve ever sat through a round of commercials, chances are that you’ve seen a commercial for BPH pharmaceuticals.
The ad usually goes something like this:
  • Good looking older man is experiencing uncomfortable symptoms
  • Said man goes to his doctor and gets a prescription
  • Said man is suddenly cured
  • He goes out and has the time of his life with a great looking woman
  • Aaannnnd… the voiceover describes side effect after side effect for another 30-35 seconds
MOST of the commercial is a list of side effects while said man has the time of his life.
Talk about mixed messages!
Getting down to brass tacks, here’s what those BPH medications do:
They stop the transmission of certain nerve impulses in the bladder and reproductive region to allow easier passage of urine.
In English:
You’re blocking the nerves in a very sensitive area from receiving full stimulation.
These medications are literally called “alpha-blockers” because they block stimulation. They’re also prescribed for high blood pressure.
If you’re wondering how the same medication can be prescribed for two very different issues, you aren’t alone.
We’re right there with you.
If you’re not currently in the market for reducing stimulation with made-in-a-lab treatments, don’t fret.
Instead, ask anyone who has started a regimen of adaptogens. The results are legitimately amazing!
But they don’t work at the snap of your fingers. They are a holistic (meaning whole-body) remedy, so your entire system needs a constant supply in order for them to take effect.
Don’t fret though, here’s how it works:
  1. Take your adaptogens prophylactically , which is just a fancy way of saying “regularly.” A regimen of two in the morning with breakfast and two at night with dinner shouldn’t be too difficult, right?
  2. Your body will start to sense that help has arrived, and your hormones, nervous system and other systems will begin to regulate and operate more efficiently.
  3. You’ll finally start to feel like your original self again — the guy you were before prostate problems starting controlling your everyday life.
Sweet, sweet relief!

You could keep waiting (and going), or you could order your adaptogens today and feel better in no time!

Now that we’re in our golden years, wiser than ever before, it’s hardly the time for our bodies to get in the way.
So don’t let it!
Get a handle on your annoying BPH symptoms and feel like you’re 35 again.
This is the part in the commercials where you get to enjoy life, take a drive with the top down, beat your friends at a round of golf, go on that spontaneous trip to Italy with the woman of your dreams.
But this time, there won’t be a side effects voice-over — just a happier, better life that’s free from BPH.
Adaptogens are the key!
